Is Your Shower A Little Too Hot to Handle?
Now initially, this may not seem like a huge problem. Who wants a cold shower anyways? But if you are here, you probably figured out the hard way how hot your shower can get.
Most of the time, the cold water culprit is either your shutoff valve or a little piece called the pressure-balancing cartridge located in your faucet. Luckily, with a couple tools and some elbow grease, you can fix the problem in no time. Of course, our experts at Waldman are also here to help!
Flip The Problem
Is the problem localized to your shower or is your hot water taking over the whole house? If all of your faucets have hot water only, most likely all you have to do is flip a switch.
Head to your main water supply (generally located in your basement) and check if any of your valves have been accidentally turned off. If so, you are good to go, flip it and find out if that solves the problem!
If the problem is only occurring in one shower, the whole faucet will have to be taken apart, and replacing a shower cartridge is an ambitious DIY project. If you need some help, our experts at Waldman are here!
